STREET ART FESTIVAL CASH, CANS & CANDY opening on 31st May 2013 in Vienna

It seems that in the following months Vienna will be the hotspot for street art and urban culture. The exhibition and festival project Cash, Cans & Candy, curated by Katrin Sophie Dworczak and presented in Galerie Hilger NEXT and Hilger BROTKunsthalle in the 10th district aims to bring together internationally famous names like Retna and Shepard Fairey (Los Angeles, US), Faile form New York or Roa form Belgium as well as local artists like Yotto, PERFEKT WORLD or Vasilena Gankovska.

During the whole summer, there will different events starting from gallery performances up to city walks and live painting.

Andy Warhol x Comme des Garçons ?

The japanese fashion house has just launched a collection of items illustrated with some of Warhol’s masterpieces. T shirts, scarfs, backpacks and shoes are covered with multucolouered silk screened self portraits, flowers or cow patterns.

The new collection has been made in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation  and is available in different Comme des Garçons stores around the world
